My ES300h was manufactured in Japan in July and it came with Navigation and ML audio. I think the update is not supported for my system because this update specifies non-navigation units. Probably CarPlay is blocked by Lexus in my country on purpose.

Yeah, this will only work if you bought the car from North America. Other countries like Europe and Asia don't have carplay.

I think I'm going to "stay happy" with carplay on my ES F. Sounds like a lot of time, heat, pages of detailed instructions and some gas (running the car for at least an hour) to get Alexa, something I don't even have at home.
For years, Chrysler always updated my U-Connect/Garmin system as part of routine service. Sony, for example, offers electronics updates, either automatically to the gear, or with the simplest of processes involving download, unzip and stick it in the usb on the TV.
(edited to add: my car has nav, so it wouldn't even apply)

Know that this particular update doesn't apply to my system either, ML w nav.
But has anybody done this update ? I'm guessing they still haven't rolled out the Lexus+Alexa app for IOS users yet either.

If you have an iPone and need to get Lexus +Alexa working you can download the two updates you need at: https://securedp.lexus.com/download-app/downloads
There are instructions on the same place for how to download and apply the updates. One thing the instructions do not say is the USB flash drive must be formatted with FAT32. Not NTFS or ExFat, etc. Put both update files on any USB formatted with FAT32 that is also at least 2GBs in size. I just got mine working last night.

Now that I have tested with it I am pretty "meh" on the Alexa integration. It requires the Enform 2.0 app and Alexa+Enform apps running on your phone. Then start Alexa+Enform (voice command: launch Alexa) in the car. All so you can use Alexa commands to direct the car's features. It just seems to make more sense to me to use the native Enform voice commands and skip all the additional hoops? I would love to hear how people are using and/or liking this feature. It might be pretty cool to load the Lexus skill on the Echo device in the house to use remote start, if you park your car outside in the winter and have an active remote subscription. It still seems like a stretch to turn this into a useful feature for my particular situation.
