Brake Caliper Vinyl Wrap

I believe regular wrap won't hold up well to the high heat. There's some companies that make high heat vinyl wrap specifically meant for calipers etc. If you're interested.

Calipers get hot, and that film is made for the auto body. Which is why, I think, the best way to do calipers is to have them powdercoated. There are some films and tapes, however, that will do the job, and you can find links and how-to posts if you look around on this forum.
For those reasons, however, I had mine powdercoated, changed the pads at the same time to ceramic, and topped off with a cheap logo decal I found on eBay (designated as OK for high heat). The red logo valve stem cap is just the cherry on this rolling sundae.

They do make caliper wrap that can handle the high heat of the braking system. You can find them here. https://www.metrorestyling.com/Calip...l-s/301575.htm
I am not sure how easy it is to make that look good though. There are more surface features and crevices on a caliper than you realize but it can be done. I believe there is a youtube video by CK Wraps that shows caliper wrapping. Powder coating is probably the best option but will require you to have your calipers off your car for however long it takes someone to get them done...so if this is yor daily that might not be an option.

Has anyone used a wrap on their calipers? I'm thinking of using this one

I have a little write up on vinyl wrapping my calipers from 3 years ago here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-...ml#post9441794
The vinyl wraps still look great and I see no issues with them.

I used to have wrapped calipers for 3 years and they looked phenomenal with no signs of wear or degradation aside from brake dust. In fact those entire brake kit is for sale here:

I used 3M High reflective/high heat caliper specific wrap. I will say that before you go down this route, understand that wrapping can be a huge pain for someone inexperienced and especially on complex objects like calipers. That said, it can still be done easily for some people who have a knack for it. Good luck!

So what we need is a link to someplace that sells the knack. Better yet: discount knacks.
But seriously folks, taking apart the brakes to wrap them and then reassembling them can be a time consuming process. I didn't have that kind of time, and did not want to take the chance that I would screw up the wrapping, (not sure if I have the knack - kinna doubt it) and for that reason I elected to have a wheel guy powder coat them.

Here is where I buy all my wrap. This should be the link for the caliper wraps specifically. Taking them off would be tough but this is my spare set. You have to clean like crazy or you will have problems with the wrap sticking.
