Default Calipers Wrap and Acura Covers

Hi,

all done without heat...just stretch

with flash

the rear before the cover attached

before and after

all wrapped and glued up
I used 3m reflective wrap, Acura RDX brake caliper covers, and they are attached with Permatex red high temp silicone.

Acura 45218-TX4-A00 That is it. Just search Acura RDX caliper covers and check all the pics of how these covers have been used for the past 6 -7 years. Next is my wife's RX 350.

Thanks... I traded the RC350 for the RCF! I got a great trade value. Here's the pic that sold me.

Very Cool!

I didn't know you could wrap a caliper. I'm assuming it's been holding up pretty good?

I've always powder coated my calipers but if the wrap holds up that is a much easier install than removing the calipers and sending them to get coated.

silly question but, why did you use 'Acura RDX' caliper covers?

My guess would be that he wanted to add the "Lexus" vinyl decal. The stock rear calipers are oddly shaped without much flat space to add something like that. The Acura covers allowed for that.

YES, THAT'S IT....the rear calipers look weak and the covers give them a solid appearance....
