Louvers are giving a very 70's - 80's style to your car. It actually remembers me of the Opel Manta, that had those kind of things on. It only lacks the typical 70-80 colour chart and you would have a fantastic tribute car.
Whatever, in the USA, I could see this option beeing very useful. With all the shootings you have in this country, this would do a good deflector for incoming bullets.
I'm surprised, it actually looks good, and it kind of matches with those plastic "stripes" we have on the rear corners.
Not my personal taste, but it is a cool look.

Zakustech has finished the prototyping and is getting ready to go into R&D with the mold. In order for them to move forward, they need 5 people confirmed for the louvers so they're taking deposits now. Once they have the 5, they'll make the mold and try to finalize everything in about a month's time. Currently, we have 3 people finalized with deposits. We only need a few more people, so if you guys are interested in products for our cars, please reach out to myself or them.
Louvers:
- They will be the basic carbon fiber, but if anyone wants custom ones, they can do honeycomb or a colored weave.
Pricing:
- Group buy price is $1100. The deposit will be $500
- They're willing to keep this price until the first louver goes out. After that, it will be MSRP at $1400
Shipping:
- Continental US - $100 ground shipping. There's other options available if you want it.
- Pick up available at their shop (SoCal)
Regarding visibility, I wonder if sometimes it could be better. Rains a lot around here. My rear window is constantly covered in drops. I use defroster in rain which helps a little, but turns off a lot.
I dont think I'd install louvers just to reduce raindrops, but it might improve that scenario. (might not...)
Had them from the factory on my then brand new 1970 Barracuda AAR. They looked great and they were hinged. These are not! How the hell do you clean the window?
