Carbon Dioxide...

Carbon Dioxide...
I think my car is leaking carbon dioxide into the cabin. For about a week I've been experiencing these terrible tension headaches. I thought maybe it may be something in my office at work, but I'm not sick no cold no fever, just these terrible headaches.
Last Friday, I was headed home and got super sleepy, tired and had to pull over. I started to leave my car on because I was going to get a little shut eye, but I didn't.
So day after day, windows up I feel this headache start at the back of my neck and move to top of my skull. I remember smelling sulfur in my car about a month ago from a loose gas cap and decided to let my windows down.
For the last couple of days, I've been driving with my windows down and guess what no headache. Next step is that I'm headed to Wally World to grab a carbon dioxide detector.
Any idea on why this would be happening IF this is the case? Although, as I type this I feel stupid because some may think its just the fact of stress at my job or something else, but I'm really starting to think, something from my engine is coming into my car.

I think you might be mixing carbon dioxide with carbon monoxide, which are two very different things. Carbon monoxide would be a part of the many different fumes that are expelled from the car and is toxic. I don't think a carbon dioxide detector would be much useful as carbon dioxide gas is every where in our atmosphere. In either case, I hope that there isn't carbon monoxide gas seeping into the cabin causing your headaches, it would be very dangerous. You can have the car running with the windows up for a few minutes and position yourself outside of the vehicle. Once a few minutes has been up, open the door and smell for any fumes as even in small amounts, it might be a little noticeable if there was any exhaust fumes seeping into the cabin. Good luck I hope you figure this out.

I meant carbon monoxide...whatever the by product of exhaust may be. The only problem with your solution is that I can smell my exhaust outside my vehicle as it is when standing outside, I highly doubt I would be able to distinguish between the outside smell and inside smell except the outside scent is loud and I would assume the inside would be unnoticeable since I smell it outside of the vehicle.
