Default Rc200t tune or chip yet???

Just ordered the Burger Tuning intake for my RC200t f sport. Want to do as much as I can to unlock the power this thing has choked up in it.

Anyone heard any news on a tune yet?

Anyone seen these chipped yet? Recommend any?

Unfortunately no. A few companies have "attempted" to come out with a tune but still nothing available as of yet. I think Road Race Engineering released a Power Manager last year which is the closest thing to a "tune" for this car.

The 2.0t from Lexus model lineup probabely would be the most difficult and expensive turbo engine to squeeze out more hp compared to any other brand. Might as well spend the money and get the next model up. Also you lose the factory warranty if tuned or chipped, but good luck finding anyone capable.

its un-fortunate, because audi and other 2.0T get such great results with just a tune. I think i read somewhere that the 200t is making 7.5psi so just a few more psi and a bit more fueling and timing would yield great results. https://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_u..._gen3_mqb.html

A nice custom tune, with intake and turbo back exhaust would really make this really come alive.

While waiting for a tune to come out. Maybe you can upgrade your charge pipe first which will decrease turbo lag and improve throttle response.

I was considering an RC200t. I heard the NX200t was making 12PSI. I am not sure why Lexus still chooses to lock the ECU's after 16yrs od secrecy LOL. I may not buy a new Lexus..

Just give it a little more time. The ECU for the RC-F was recently cracked and tuned so I imagine it won't be too much longer before the other RC models are able to fully tune their ECUs as well.

Burger Motorsports is still working on their tune: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35256

Apparently Dinan is looking for a 200t test car for a tune as well. Dinan is a long time BMW-backed tuning company.

Look at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...200t-tune.html
Tony from TTIMotorsport made Stage1 for stock car and Stage2 for car with new downpipe.
Don't forget it is exactly the same engine 8AR-FTS.
Read the thread , interesting as from page 20, you will follow the various advance on the products.

I'm awaiting the Stage1 and TCM for my RC and will make a Dyno to compare on an European model.I will give the results on both threads
Don't hesitate to contact Tony, he is really friendly and answer to any questions.

I think in the case of the RC, the IS forums are actually more informational and useful when coming to performance. It even has its own separate performance forum. Both the v6 and turbo engines are identical between the cars. There is a 50 page thread about an is200t tune so I would recommend heading that way

I bet a hundred bucks that turbo with factory boost is not being restricted by it's intake tube. Get rid of a cat or two, and I bet you you will see a lot better results. Also, if your turbo's spooling a lot faster, with Lexus's super sophisticated ecu calibrations I wouldn't be surprised if that threw a code, requiring a tune.

I doubt the car would throw a code because its turbo spooled faster. Yes de-catting will make a decent power gain, but you'd make a huge gain in indecency. Not only is it illegal, it's irresponsible and causes unneeded pollution. Pollution penalty not worth it considering the upgrade would be going from 0-60 in 6.9s to 6.8.
