i've changed the image, looks great in my 2018 IS300..... but now I want to know if it's possible to change the start up little mini movie graphic ? a different .mov file perhaps ? ...maybe to something more "cooler" lol

 

So I tried it this morning (having verified the night before .JPG extensions, short filenames with no spaces or other characters, keeping the file size down below 1MB, etc) and it didn’t work. My RC said something about “make sure the USB is inserted” or something. I feel like it’s possible it’s not formatted correctly (FAT32 etc) since i did it from my mac. I’ll try again later tonight after I get home from work. 😩

Can we do it on a facelifted 2019 RC? I cant find the menu where I can change the images

 

The USB stick has to be 2.0 and under 32 gig.




It has to be formatted on a windows machine, I put windows 10 on my MacBook.
I put this car pic on the start up with all the other propaganda and the lion on my screen off because I don't like to watch the Nav, the stains and spots are part of the pictures not crap on the screen.

Will this work on a 2022 RC 350 F Sport? Can not find the screens shown in the original note.

 

 

Thanks for the video, but “customize screen” is not an option. I thought that putting the USB in first would add the option, but it did not. Must not work on 2022’s RC 350’s.

 

When you go to settings/general and scroll through the options there is nothing about images? if not the bean counters must've decided to take that option out.

 

I think you don't have a hard drive in your infotainment system, you update your maps with a micro sd right?

Maybe someone else can confirm this.

 

My 2022 RCF doesn't seem to have this option in the nav

 

It was removed on the face lifted versions. My 2020 RCF doesn't have it either. But my 2016 CT does.
