Default Afe intake

Just ordered my afe intake for my rc. When I am installing it in the car, what do I do with the sound generator that's connected to the old intake? Has anyone installed a afe intake yet?

If your installing the Takeda CIA from AFE, you won't need anything from the stock piece except for the sensor which you swap out. So stow away that stock piece for future use.

When you put the label on make so you can see it correctly from the passenger side.

I haven't pulled the trigger on buying this yet. I'm waiting to hear from those who installed it if you agree with their in-house Dyno testing that resulted in max gains of 13 HP and 11 lbs. x ft. of torque. Can you feel the difference? Is the sound only much louder when you open full throttle? Would love to hear what the real life results are.

Combine this CAI with an exhaust kit and you will see / feel improvement. Breathe in , breathe out...
Just like the good doctor says!
But it's more of a tweaking HP gain than a power adder component. So don't expect to add these items up (10 + 12 + 15 + 5 =42HP) it doesn't work that way. A lot of these small changes work in harmony to give you maybe that extra 20 HP.
Response and feel will no doubt be the biggest improvement.

Yes, I can feel the difference, and you notice the sound, which sound glorious when you mash the peddle. If using the paddle shifters then you will notice the sound more, but if you are using full auto mode then not so much unless you want a little get up and go.

Before when using the shifter in "M", Sport+ selected, using the paddle shifters, and taking off quickly from a dead stop the car was quick but nothing really spectacular. Now doing the same thing the car is noticeably quicker, sounds more aggressive, and now the traction control light will flicker indicating that I'm about to spin the tires.

I would like to see the dyno results of before and after.
I personally don't believe the 11 or 13 WHP gain that these companies claim.
