IS F 2UR Swap possible on a is250?
Of course it's possible. Same chassis, same front subframe, same rear subframe (with the exception of the two front differential bolt holes), just a very expensive swap. I'm not sure if it's even financially viable.
how expensive would it be? would doing a LSx swap be cheaper?
I'm not sure on the exact pricing, do the research. At the very least, you'll need the engine, engine mounts, transmission, longitudinal drive shaft, differential, rear subframe (the rear drive shafts are the same as the 250 and 350). Not to mention the ECUs, wiring harnesses, and if you want to do it right, braking system, wheels, dashboard wiring harness, cluster, steering wheel, seats, navigation unit, radio unit, center console, A/B/C pilars, headliner (they're all black), rear seat, front bumper, radiator support, fenders, bonnet, side skirts, rear bumper and exhaust system. On top of that, there's hundreds of miscellaneous bits and bobs.
Honestly, if you want to turn a 250 into a 350, that's very doable, but turning a 250 or 350 into an IS F is going to be a mammoth task and very impossible.
I think an LSx swap would be cheaper, though.

Yeah , i agree is the is F conversion is practically impossible. I noticed there is a LSx Swap Kit being sold for about 3500 and it isn't exactly uncommon to see an LSx swapped 250. The swap kit includes an Oil Pan and pickup tube, motor mounts and transmission cross member, Exhaust Headers, Coolant Fill/Expansion tank and couplers/clamps, Upper and Lower Radiator hoses, intake pipe w/ KN Filter Fuel System, Conversion kit, Electric Drive by wire throttle pedal bracket and a Wiring Guide. No matter the swap i know it will be a lot of work, and i think an LSx swap will honestly be easier on money, and it has been done before.
Exactly. That's a good price considering what comes with it. If it comes in a form of a kit for the IS 250 with engine mounts drive shaft ECU and wiring harness, it'll definitely be super easy. Not as complicated as you may think. Does it come with a transmission?
no it does not come with a transmission, but does have the motor mounts, fuel system converter, custom oil pan, and other basic hardware to complete the swap. I will have to purchase everything else such as a driveshaft ecu wiring harness etc, but does come with a wiring guide. Luckily for headers and anything fabrications needed i do know a professional fabrication guy that has posted insane builds he has done for customers. A thread i have see was a ls6 swap with a t56 , and is successful.
