Cool

Does anyone have any problems when taking your GS (mod with SC or TC) to the dealer for regular maintenance? Will the dealer refuse service or do you have to let them know in advance?

i may be wrong (i doubt it) but you have to have some kinda ECU flash to fully accomodate the S/C. roenick7 was using it, and im almost positive that he was using one. you may have better luck asking jcramair1. he is currently running the RMM set-up. he didnt give alot of details about it though. i know Z guys are blowing motors left and right with the ATI s/c, it seems. be careful........

By the way, how's the MPG for your GS4 after the SC or TC upgrade? From RMM, SRT, etc...

I would venture to geuss that most that go with forced induction dont really care about mpg, and probably have never paid attention to it to begin with(at least thats true for me).

I'm with TT on the MPG issue. Kinda like if you gotta ask how much???, you can't afford it. In other words, it really doesn't matter because a SC is not for efficiency, it's for HP. You always will sacrifice something when it comes to the pursuit of HP.

As for ECU, according to RMM, their kit requires no ecu tuning.

Does a SC or TC increase HP more than torque? If so, then what kind of mod can increase the torque along with the HP (doesn't have to be the same increase but close).

Thanks

TC does not increase HP at all. The TC works to help you "launch" the car quicker, plus it's stronger than the factory unit which is helpful if you do additional add-ons later. By increasing the RPM stall speed up, it makes the car pull quicker because the full lock up of the TC happens a little later in the power band so then the engine has a little more HP available on tap to make the car launch quicker than before. In it's super duper simplified way, the TC can be looked at as like a rubber band. The more twists you give it, the faster/harder it unwinds. If you "wind" up the engine just a little higher in the power band, it will have more HP available to get you up and going. Bottom-line, the TC DOES NOT add any HP by itself. It will make your car quicker though.

The SC on the other hand does create HP and Torque, but not sure if the torque curve is higher than the HP curve. I know that a SC adds both. Just not sure on the Lexus which one is higher. Sorry no help there.

Yes, and can I run a GS4 with SC or TT on regular gas? I'm into spending $10K on mods and saving 10c a gallon.

I must say that I have not done a thing to the S/C kit since it's been installed..I have been very busy working and not playing enough....However i did talk with blair at RMM and he stated to me that I would be fine running 8lbs...and that it would make a big difference. I will most likely order that pulley directly from vortech soon and then DYNO the car to figure out if I need new software for Fuel Management. Hopefully I wil have time between ordering some goodies for the P-car....

Jcramair1, I am just wondering where do you go to dyno your car. Does that place help you tune your lexus?

Thanks
