Default Secondary cat delete 2008 is250 help

Is doing a secondary cat delete a good idea? I’ve got and invidia exhaust and cat less Ppe headers right now. Do you guys think I could gain a little power by deleting or is it just a sound mod? Also does the check engine light come on by deleting the cat?

Thanks a lot for the help guys!

Just get an after market mid pipe. Save some cash for a tune instead, and get the 02 sensor foulers to help with the Cell.

I'd doubt you'd feel any gains with the secondaries removed.

If running with catless doesn't bother you with respect to the environment, than have at it.

Rrracing stated that the secondary cats do indeed present a bottle neck in the exhaust. Check out redspencers build post toward the end and check out his results. Good luck.

I'm new to this platform and V6 engines all together but to my understanding sometimes you need a little bit of back pressure to retain that low end torque. I figure those secondary cats can help.

Just called a muffler shop in my area and when I told them what I wanted the guy was extremely rude. There are no emissions where I live so idk what his deal was lol

It's still illegal at a federal level, a shop can get a sizable fine for removing ot dealing with catless exhaust.
