Throttle Body Cleaning??

Default Throttle Body Cleaning??

I took my car in for the 60k service and they said i needed to clean the throttle body cost, $250 is this necessary or can i do it my self?? Thanks

Yes - you can do it yourself.

Depending on your intake, you should be able to do it in about 30min or less, and that is really taking your time.

Thanks man...i just found that thread...the dealership called me and said i need to do this, so I just said yes....this looks easy enough though good write up...just saved me 2.5bills

250 dollars that’s just horrible!!!
I really can’t believe that they have the kahoona’s to charge that much. To remove the intake, disconnect three electrical connections, disconnect the water hoses and undo four bolts, please! I want to take a vacation too…

Yes I agree for 30 minutes of work!! Pohanka is usually pretty good at their regular maintaince pricing $550 for 60K service....but as soon as you need to other things forget it.... I had one of my HIDs out and they wanted to charge me $950 to change out ONE light!!!! did myself for the cost of the HID

WHy do I only see 2 vacuum hoses on your intake?

The third is there - its just black - hard to see in those pics
