While we wait for updates, does anyone know if anybody has ever done an aftermarket turbo upgrade on this motor?

Finally some interesting results! Our engine has a ton of potential. It’s the 3s-gte successor with the exception of the stock turbo and they’ve taken those engines with big turbos up higher than 1000whp in the old mr2. I would think with a turbo swap we could see the 8arfts handle some ridiculous power as long as we have a tuner to support it

Pretty sure this is Toyota’s answer to the Honda type r. At 1.35bar (19.5) psi we put down 331whp 332 wtq. The Type R puts down less than 300whp300wtq at 20psi. The reason for this is a direct relation to compression ratio. Totally happy with what I bought. Expecially after seeing this. Look at the quality difference between the heads

Any updates?

Honda's are seeing great results with their hybrid turbo's (300+ whp). I just wish we had the tuning support like their platform.

I’ve heard tony is no longer working in the next stage😭
The cost to make the turbo then resell is not worth it because of the cost. I wouldn’t doubt it since I haven’t seen tony post on this forum in a whiiilllleeee! Sucks because I was really looking forward to this stage the most but I guess this is as good as it gets for us guys

Interesting. Seems like other platforms are taking off in development. Either way no regrets.

Yea, a lot of these aftermarket tuning companies don't consider Lexus as a performance tuner brand.

Has anyone found an actual website for JRC other than their facebook page(I don't have a facebook account)? Haven't heard much else about that company and they offer hybrid turbo and tune.
