Default Tuned 2IS long term reliability

These posts are probably hidden in various tuned IS threads, but I just wanted to hear from various people with tuned cars about how they have held up with the tune so far (just for myself and anyone else looking to tune their cars in the future). How many miles, road trips, track days or drag strip days, etc.

I've been running a 7500rpm tune from OV since last year. No track days but several thousand miles with occasional 7000+rpm runs. No problems or hints of problems yet.

This is good to hear. I don't normally rev it too high at all unless its a really particular situation so it is reassuring to hear this.

This makes sense. I usually baby my car anyway but just want to get a bit more power out of it without spending too much money.

I've ran several 20 minute sessions on the track with my tune (7200RPMs) and I've had no issues whatsoever.

Been MIA from the forums for a while but I'm one of the first to run the OVtuned 7400rpm tunes. I've had my 06 350 tuned for about 8 months now and around 10k miles but could be more or less (I drive a lot and it's a daily lol) Anyway no problems here at all. I hit 7000+ quite often and my car is still as strong as ever.

This is all good to hear! I normally don't drive the car very hard, but I have a hillclimb event and a autocross event coming soon and it is great to hear the car holds up well.

No issues for me (knock on wood) and I ran a weekend event at NOLA in May with a total of ten 30 minute sessions with the engine at/near the 7200rpm redline about 6 times per lap on the majority of my laps. The track was really hard on my brakes but the increased rev limiter helped me hit 127mph max at the end of the front straight!

Tro209,
There you are, have you tried the beta tune in the handheld? according to OVtune, it's a more aggressive one but still in testing stage I guess. I've asked in the other thread without any reply. I also have the one with 7400rpm but haven't reached it yet so far.
