Default Is this a BS product?

Just saw this video and wondering if it's BS. DTE Systems Pedalbox. Supposedly it improves throttle response.

Source: I'm chinese

for the first 2 minutes he's explaining how to setup the tune and let the machine know how your gas pedal reacts. He says that there levels of pressure that is put on the gas pedal. Rating: light gas 1 - 10 pedal all the way down

so at "10 gas" there is always a 10.5 which hits that little switch under the gas pedal which is suppose to be some OEM computer box that gives you a full throttle response. (This is true, because if you floor your gas pedal, automatic gears will not change until max rpm which is around 7000k rpm stock as opposed to the car shifting gears around 3000k rpm if you cruise)

So after explaining how to setup the "tune" at the 2:20ish mark. He is showing that the tune is completed and he starts tapping on the gas pedal.

He is saying that you're getting higher rpms with each light taps and it is more responsive. He taps it 3 times to show how fast the rpms responds and how fast it accelerates to higher rpms.

thats all I got from the video. You can decide if it's worth it or if it's bs. If he just pushes the gas harder or not.

The Apexi throttle controller works well. It has 6 settings to use.

Any throttle controller that works on the IS250 will also work on the IS350.

Pros: Puts a smile on your face when accelerating.

Cons: Lose a couple of MPG maybe 1-3
It deactivate when the ignition is turned off. You must turn it back on every time you restart the car.

To anyone who has or have used a throttle controller, do you actually feel any impact on the throttle (i.e. is it a noticeable feel)?

I've had the Apexi for months now. It's even better with the PWR on. At first at thought it was just a gimmick. Now I can't drive without it on. It takes up all the delay lag from the pedal. I have a 250 so in a 350. I'm sure it will feel better.

Rezo, you still haven't used the Handheld?

Yes absolutely, it could possibly be one of the mods with the most noticeable difference I which you can feel. In theory, although I haven't seen the results myself, it doesn't produce anymore horsepower because its just throttle response. I have 350 tuned full exhaust intake etc. and the throttle controller changes everything...It basically waked our sleeper cars at the low end up...Off the line it crushes.

Yes, you feel it, it is extremely noticeable. Of course, 0% is still 0% and 100% throttle is still 100%, however what it can do in between can change how the throttle feels significantly.

Jeff

so to clarify this for me...

a throttle response is zero gains. It would only let you feel the car better? And perhaps let you drive faster since you have a bit more feel and thus control?
