Has anyone seen the new handheld tuner by Orange Virus Tuning. I know they have had their bench tune out for a little while now but haven't her anything about it on this forum. Has anyone had any experiences with their tunes?
I have the OV bench tune on a IS350.
Just got the ECU back and still playing with the car.
From my one day of driving, on Normal Mode, its not very noticeable what was done but when you turn the **** to Sports+ the car feels like a very different car.
I also have the ov tune. I ran my buddy celica turbo b4 the tune. Now I just gotta run him again after the tune. Car feels more responsive. The 7400rpm sure does help when your shifting into next gear cause now your higher up in the power band. Will have videos posted in my build thread.
So what's the verdict on these? Do they really work or will I be wasting my money? I am probably never going to go full bolt-ons because I dread the though of droning exhausts during my morning commute. I want to raise my redline to say 7200 and maybe get a little more torque. having a full 350hp would be nice too.

that would be so nice to have, eco and normal mode are just "normal stock" sport plus gives the full potential and 7400 RPM

I would say it's worth it. Given the positive response here and in the 2IS forum, it seems like a good idea.
Is this basically the same as Hondata Flashpro? I have it on my 08 AP2 with a high flow cat, drop in filter and it sounds and drives much better than stock with a 17hp peak gain over baseline after a tune and a lot more useable power.I would love to have similar gains on my IS. It's 2017, should this be done before an exhaust?
Those who have the OV tune, what are your supporting mods and are going to put in on a dyno?
I would say it's more similar to the OpenFlash Tablet as it seems to be its own unit rather than being dependent on a laptop. It appears to just be a baseline tune for your vehicle and more fine-tuning would require datalogs and contact with Mathew.
I believe he developed this tune on a fully stock RC350.
Small update on my thoughts of the tune.
Not sure if I could do this before but with the tune, on Sports+ mode. First gear pull from a stop will kick on traction light at higher rpm before shift into next gear.
Btw, i have 7200 rev limiter.
Can't comment on the handheld but did get the stage 2 throttle + Sport bench tune from OV on my 14 IS250 F Sport about a month ago and also had the rev limiter raised to 7200. Other mods are Invidia axel back exhaust and Takeda Intake, the only one I felt a difference with performance was the tune. The throttle response is nice, the car downshifts perfectly and jumps every time I put the petal down. I know my car will never be a 350 but it definitely has more torque and horsepower after the tune. I am sure the effect on a 350 would be much better and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about it.
