GS480 Stick Shift For Cheap Asses!
After all this I seriously think I need to find a T56 six speed. There's no getting around it, this transmission is NOT performance oriented. Even if I can quick shift, the ratios are fighting this engine. Too long of gears bring the bleh...
I found a 370z trans with 14k miles for 700 bucks...... I think the adapter is 450 then an ls1 bell is usually 250/300
the 350 and 370z trans is from what i hear is the greatest trans for a manual swap. word on the street is, it can hold 1,000 horsepower and is so smooth. suprastore sells all the needed adapter pieces that make it work if you still had the uz engine. the ls not so sure, but it is a damn good trans.
BBGS, have you heard of PMC Motorsport? I stumbled upon this adapter on ebay. Looks like I wouldn't have to cut the Nissan bell off. My question is does the gm clutch really fit inside the Nissan bell??

When I was considering the CD009 trans I was looking at Collins Adapters...

I did check that out, slick way to go really. Cutting off a bell housing lol... That method will be at least 1000 dollars to adapt. I just stumbled on that PMC adapter and thought if that can bolt an LSX to a cd009 without buying a bell that could save a lot of dough.
I've messaged them and they said a custom flywheel will be coming out soon to complete the kit like their bmw adapters. At $330 I'm tempted to purchase, but I've no idea the diameter of the Nissan bell. Chevy clutches are big, probably huge next to a Nissan clutch.
