Default Manual Shifter Vibration

Hi All,

This is for the very few 6spd mt lovers that own a second gen. For a few months now, I've noticed a continuous vibration in the shifter itself. The vibration persists at idle and while in gear. I can also feel a good amount of vibration while changing gears. I should point out the quality and performance of gear changes have not been affected in any way. Is it possible this is engine vibration or because it is rwd direct linkage to the transmission itself? It's weird how it's become more noticeable lately...

What do you guys think?

I have always had "some" vibration. Nothing really that noticeable tho. And I am even running the Fidanza flywheel. I would check your linkage, see if anything is loose, or if one of your bushings has gone bad...

engines make power. engines vibrate. engine mounts do a good job at what theyre designed to do but they cant possibly keep the engine perfectly still.
engines transfer their power to the transmission, which in turn vibrates as well.

If im not mistaken but the ISx50 Manual transmission shifter is attached directly to to the tranny, Not the link controlled like the other cars that ive been in. so vibration in the shifter would actually be normal since your shifter is technically directly connected to the engine transmission and other constantly vibrating parts. So this is normal

How is your experience with the Fidanza flywheel? Are you running stock clutch? I've been looking at the f sport clutch/fidanza set up but I have found very limited reviews...
