It shows which parts don't fit perfectly, since it was designed for the 2IS. The main fitment issue is the vacuum tube (4th photo in the DIY), but this is easily fixed by getting a better hose clamp for a couple dollars. Other minor issues are some wires clips that you won't be able to clip back into place, so the wires will hang a bit looser. Not a bit deal though, and you can use some zip ties to secure them if it bothers you. If those issues won't be a problem for you, then go ahead and order the intake. At this moment, it doesn't look like any companies are coming out with intakes designed specifically for the '14 IS, except F-Sport & Joe-Z.
This is an electric cut out. There is no loud mode. It's just a custom switch. The cut out, dumps at the header ( normally ) and the closes for a silent mode. I believe miestercraft has this.
For those that have the Takeda Intake installed, have you guys encountered any check engine light problems? Also, does the intake pose any problem when driving in the rain?
