Default PPEs...HKS...and NOW custom mid pipe made!

Hey CL, I just got my exhaust completed in full! I removed the cats and resonators and had an Xpipe welded in. I havent installed the O2 conditioner to the ecu to clear my lit up xmas tree of a dash just yet, but i will soon. So far ive noticed a pretty good increase in free'd up power and its substantially louder! haha

Look nice, will you have a before and after Dyno to show actual gains versus the premise of the "placebo exhaust"

Not to rain on your parade but Is your mid-pipe made from 2.25" or 2.5" OD pipe? Doesn't look like it matches the width of your x-pipe or muffler which is 2.5" ID pipe.
Also, Those bends also don't look mandrel ...

No before and after dyno charts :-( maybe after dyno chart at least. I believe its 2.5" all over. I know it looks funny with all the bends everywhere. Its kind od a budget exhaust for now. I just didn't want the stock mid pipe with the HKS and PPEs. Once I put the headers on, I had a leak from where the headers meet up with the stock mid. And no they are no mandrel bends either. Ill have a better exhaust made down the road but this will definitely do for now

Has it been proven or shown that the X-pipe or the H-pipe is better in creating more power for our 2IS models?

From what I've been hearing from a few go fast guys, Xpipes create more power than Hpipes. Not sure if they do on IS's but in general

to eliminate the rasp, you could swap x-pipe with some mide muffler like MAGNAFLOW 12568 (DUAL 2.5" IN AND OUT).
It gives you deep sound and no rasp while still offer high air flow
I have done it in G35S SET UP.

That kinda sucks I'd have to get rid of the Xpipe. We'll see how I feel after I get used to it.
Ill try to post up a video/sound clip when I get a chance
