Headers install Q
Wanted to find out from fellow members how difficult or easy installing PPE headers would be?
I've never installed headers on a car before, I have done downpipes, cats, catbacks, but never headers.
I am unsure if it needs the engine dropped to installed or you can do from underneath if on a lift.
I might also add mine is a IS350.
Any advice or input would be nice, if anything knowing the cost of a shop to install is always a last ditch scenario.

From what Ive read, its more difficult on the 250 than the 350. I think you have to pull the engine or remove a lot of parts to do the install. About a 4-6 hour job.
Ive also heard that its easier on the 350 but I dont know by how much.

Both IS250 and IS350 take about 2-3 hours if youre an experienced mechanic and have a lift (both mine and my gf's headers were installed in about 2 hours, one by a shop and one by our personal mechanic). The time, of course, exponentially grows with lack of experience though.
Awesome that's good to know. It will all determine when I plan to. Get the headers, I think that doing headers, midpipe, and axle back all in one go would put less strain on me.
I'm still waiting on my car accident settlement which will be between 30-40k (but less when you give 1/3 to your attorney), and the Washington state unemployment office owes me 4-5k in unemployment that they have yet to pay me, even though I just started a new job
