Loudest Intake?

You cant even feel 5hp so whats the point? Id rather have something that I can actually hear the sound that gain unnoticable power. Besides, I think the FSport is on the quiet side compared to most SRIs

im a complete "noob" when it comes to car modding. i want to get the typhoon 69 on my 2012 IS250 so could anyone tell me which model number (or pick from this list
) that is compatible?
i also want to keep the original snorkel and the intake box. can i still do that with a typhoon? and does it really make you lose 5hp? i know you cant feel the difference but would rather not lose any hp on the 250.

Im not sure about the part number but just make sure it says that it fits your car.

when you say that i will have to replace it with the intake box, is there a way i can just insert the new cone air filter inside the intake box? ideally, i would like the snorkel to continue to funnel air to the intake box with the new cone filter.

My Takeda intake has a heat shield (kind of an open box) so it helps direct more cooler air into the filter. Idealy it doesnt do nearly as good a job as the F-sport but its more of a "cooloer air" intake compared to other short rams without a heat shield.

ive actually been doing a lot of reading online and people say that k&n air filters allow more air because the holes are much bigger thus allowing more dust. do you have any recommendations on air filters that have smaller hole but are bigger (to compensate for the restrictive airflow)?

I have an ISF but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents...
5whp in either direction isn't noticeable and won't effect your driving at all. So getting some aural pleasure with an intake makes plenty of sense to me. You're on this forum because you like your car right? Stock airboxes mute everything and plenty of us enjoy hearing the car do it's thing. If we want to spend money for "no gain" then so what?
I have the K&N Typhoon (again, on an ISF so it's bit different) and at WOT it's unbelievable. It's almost comically loud. I've had crazily modded Evos before and this intake alone is louder than any previous car I've had. But only at WOT. If you don't put the pedal to the floor you can keep it in check and sound and appear stock really easily which makes this rather cool.
GiGAS - Intakes either replace the stock airbox or they just replace tubing and still use the stock airbox (and filter). Search to see which brands do what. But as far as the "holes" or breathability of a filter goes...yes it does matter but any intake on the market will be just fine. Larger or smaller holes still have to block contaminants so you're fine with anything IMO. If you're super concerned I would recommend just an intake tube (to keep the stock airbox) and then a different filter.
