Hey this is my first post and I need some help. I recently purchased a weaponr secret intake for my 03' Lexus gs300. When I put it on today my idle was off lower than usual. And when I tried to rev it I could like major lag. I also tried to drive it but felt it had no power very laggy when I hit the throttle. Can anybody give some pointers to what is wrong with this?
I'm guessing something isn't plugged in or there's a seriously loose coupler. Check your connections on your fancy new intake. I can't imagine that adding an intake would make it run worse...
Like mentioned try resetting the ecu. But yes these cars don't respond to an intake like 90's Honda's do. Just a pipe and filter can cause hesitation when taking off from a stop and slight leaning. To get any benefit you really need something like a safc or neo to compensate.
The stock intake system works very well. And if you have no other engine mods I would stick withthe stock one.
i dont see nothing wrong with my it did trip check engine light after a reset it went away ive been driving with it on for over a two yr no problem what so ever in the winter month it has more of a pick up ...but it a really a little more noisy but nothing to bad ... in my own opinion...

did you ever fix this problem I'm getting the same thing from Weapon r and my 2000 300
I have the weapon R intake on my 98 GS3 and it runs and drives fine, even has a nice high pitch sound when in higher RPM's. Sounds like a whistle, I personally like it. I didn't see any real gains though.
