Default 2JZ-GTE VVT-i Wiring identification needed!!! HELP!!

Can someone identify the three plugs not marked? The white, grey, and orange? The one on the left middle is bundled with the plugs comming from the ecu to the body.

Picasa Web Albums - Ryan Kemp - Camera folder

I have the rest identified, but these do not have pinouts and I am not a diagram master with what I have translated.

Thanks, Ryan

The orange and grey don't plug into anything, they need the terminator caps on them that just jump certain wire to each other on those plugs, you have to use the jdm ones, the usdm ones are orange and black and are not terminated in the same pin order as the jdm.

The other white one goes to the chassis side, it has nothing to do with the engine running from the ecu.

Are you putting a VVTI into a GS or an SC? Either way you don't need any of that.

If it's a GS then the those plugs will be left in the ecu box from chassis and you only need the 3 leads from the engine to plug in the ecu, and put the orange and grey jdm caps onto the stock wires.

If it's an SC you still just need the three engine plugs and you will have to pin the 2 ecu body plugs to matchup to your cars chassis wiring.

It is going into a Supra MKIII actually. I have asked this question everywhere and CL came to the rescue. THANKS!

Now, what is, and where can I get the terminator caps?

Also, if it is alright with you, can I pick your brain on some wiring questions?

Thank you,
Ryan

Well the terminator caps would have come on the end of the wire with the engine set. But you don't even need any of that stuff if it's not going a GS. All you will need to do it match u the wires from the 2 body side plugs on the ecu with the existing chassis harness in the car.

The issue you will have is the aristo vvti ecu is a multilink ecu and the mk3 does not have a multilink chassis system. So the cruise won't work and your a/c controls might not work the compressor cause it's done through the engine ecu. But you may be able to work around that by wiring the chassis side a/c control directly to the compressor clutch bypassing the ecu control. And I'm not sure on any issues you may have with the dash gauges interfacing properly.

But getting the engine to start and run is no problem.
