2jzgte OBDII Emissions
Hello, i am doing the Aristo 2JZGTE swap on a 99 GS400 and i was wondering what i have to do in order to pass "PLUG IN" OBDII Emissions tests. I live in illinois, ive used the search key but didnt get much out of it.
Anyways, what do people recommend doing? Running a 2jz-ge ECU? and plug everything from the engine up to the ecu, and repinning some wires from my GS400 body to match gs300 pinouts? Thanks for your help!

That's what I had done. When I had a 2JZGTE aristo swap on my 2001 GS430, I had the GS430 body plugs repinned to match the GS. As far as emissions, I live in California. Anything I do to the car is illegal.
but how did you pass emissions? would i be able to plug up for emissions with a 2jzgte running on a 2jzge ecu? Thanks for your reply.
Where I am in northern IL I don't have smog tests.... My friend in Chicago just got his Twin Turbo 305 Chevy truck to pass smog, but you can tune a GM PCM, but not Lexus. Lexus is crazy tight on the info to tune them.
