Droped off the 350 at the Fujita shop today so they can test fit an intake. They offer one for other years but nothing or the 2011. Hope to see a little gain and some sound from the engine. We just picked up the car last week and already caught the mod bug! F sport front bumper lip is on its way here from Sewell, trunk lid spoiler got here yesterday and roof spoiler is also on the way. Looking for an exhaust now.

Given the car has used the same engine since 2005 I'm not sure why they think there'd be any issue with fittment.
You won't make any perceptible gains- the best intakes offered for the car only add about 5 hp... but it'l certainly be louder (which some people perceive as added power)
something with air flow sensor size. the pro-type is currently on the car and it appears they also made the piping a bit longer. they will be selling the intake under their new AMG brand not sure why but they also have a new cone filter design. sounds really good, not ricey at all.
Is it going to one of these lose HP and Torque for some sound intakes? Noise is great and all but i would rather gain 5 or more HP,too bad us IS owners cant get much.

I guess what has me confused here is that every other intake fits all years of the 2IS.
From your post it sounds less like the regular doesn't fit and more like they used your car to design a mildly different intake they'll sell under a different name.

That pic on that like shows basicaly a modified stock air filter housing with a replacement piping which bolts up oem mounting location just like any other after marketset up. I think what they want to do is change it a bit, they add a few inches to the lenth which brings the filter element closer to the headlight. I did not have a chance to compare the new pipe to the original. It maybe even small changes that they took into considertion from having the original set up out there for a few years.
@1herm4 do you have any pics of the intake. Installed or not.
Not yet i was asked not to post any pics until the final product is complete. I will go back in a couple weeks to have a production version replacement. I will post some them.
