Default just installed an injen intake

so my friends and i were installing my injen intake today, everything went well, followed every instruction/direactions
so when we finished i start my car and we hear this rattling sound?? it goes away when i rev higher

can some1 tell me whats going on here?

Maybe you have the intake pipe too close to the intake and it is hitting it. You need to leave a gap between the intake and the pipe inside the rubber coupler. Just a guess....

actually its not a rattling sound, its the engine sound so nothing was wrong with it hahah jsut scaring myself
i actually dont like the injen intake, might go for the joe z
with the injen intake i cant use the engine cover, hood wont close in that case for me

You might not have installed it correctly then

Post a photo, the engine cover should fit right over it.

Your probably hearing the direct injectors working, the IS250/350 is quite loud without engine covers. Is it just the clicking your hearing?

yea clicking, the injector
it fits well, but hard to close the hood, without the cover it was easy to slam the hood down
probably heading for a joe z intake now, need those cold air

You didn't install it properly if you're having issues closing the hood. Post pictures like extreme99 said.

joe z is honestly the best bang for the buck. but the injen sounds a lot better IMO

yeah, the engine cover should fit right over the injen pipe. There is usually a part of the injen pipe that will get tarnished from rubbing against the engine cover, but the hood should still close like it did without the injen.
