Default Takeda Air Intake

Thoughts or Opinions as far as quality....the link here shows video/sound of before/after and interior sound as well as dyno charts of gains (with RWD)

My first thought is they are lying about their dyno.

Their claimed gains are 2-3 times what anyone has ever shown a commercial intake to add to a 2IS.... and their numbers before AND after are much lower than even a stock 350 puts out and much higher than a stock 250 puts out (they never say which is on the dyno)

I personally try and avoid buying things from people who lie to me.

I agree completely with Kurtz.

They did claim however, that the dyno was the 350. It's in very small print under the image of the intake alone, which is even MORE suspect based on the lack of power. A stock 350 should be putting down at least 250 to the wheels

good to know, as the part being sold was for IS250/350 I doubt the intake manifold is in the same place as they are not identicle engines, same for the MAF.......

Owned one on my TL, good build quality but no noticeable gains... Much like every other CAI

THat's what I was seeing if there was a CAI with at least some gains but didn't look like such an eyesore, nor cost thousands.

Cause for Infiniti, the Takeda never proves actual gains whereas same quality and price...Stillen gives the most gains....

I'm thinking about getting a Takeda or aFe in the future. Right now, I got an eBay SRI. Mainly cause I want louder than HP gains. However, I read lots of good things about aFe which makes Takeda, but with BMW's. I think the Takeda fits my needs well, it's similar to an SRI but it has the shield around the filter unlike most other intakes for the 2IS. Obviously, their HP gains aren't true as none of us drives with our hoods open and stuff, their numbers don't go with the 350 or even the 250.
