K&N Typhoon. Horrible decision and immediately regretted losing the sound generator.

I didn't notice any extra HP. The K&N uses the factory air box, so it's not really getting "cold" air. It was essentially $300 for a shiny tube and drop in filter.

I was looking at the HPS, however apparently it doesn't add any additional noise and doubt it actually adds much HP. Some people have indiciated it makes it more responsive, but I already have a Apexi Accell, if its a minimal impact I don't really want to spend the $. It does keep stock sound generator though.

I have Takeda. You will lose the sound generator, but the sound is really deeper and more responsive.

Wonder if you could just mod one of the takeda's to add the sound generator on. Drill a hole in it and put a similiar size pipe to plug the generator into. You could even cut the pipe off the stock one and jbweld it to the upgraded one.

I was leaning towards the takeda but then my boy told me about AEM. Apparently they are the God Fathers of Intakes. But I was def thinking about the Takeda. I want to make sure its worth it and granted a little horsepower increase but I know it would not make a huge difference. how do you feel about it and did you feel a difference at all?

Its a must buy IMO. Doesn't really give you increased power, but the feel is dramatically different from stock. Gives me instant response when I'm on the most aggressive mode + sport mode, which is how I drive 95% of the time. I ordered it before I even received my car, because I had past experience with similar devices. Others can probably chime in on it. I ordered mine off amazon, it came from Japan I think, I paid around $180.

2 parts needed for it are:
Apexi Controller 410-A0001 and Apexi Controller harness 417-A021.

Its not a replacement for a intake, both together would be good. I'll probably get a HPS eventually just to keep the sound generator.
