Default Standalone?

TT block but IS300 head
T60 turbo
Larger injectors
Greddy piggy back

I got a few misfire codes, bank 1, sensor 1, bank 2 sensor 2, (rich and lean codes, afr at idle is 15-16.2, ox sensor fluctuates between 0-0.755 volts ).

The car runs ok when cold but misfires after it's warmed up and sometimes no acceleration at 2500 rpm. I was told to use a standalone because the piggyback and factory ECU is fighting each other (too many chefs in the kitchen) anyone else having these problems. i have searched the thread and no one gives a direct answer.

I'm also looking for a good tune shop. thanks in advance, please text 778 889 5044 or post a reply.

there is no single computer that replaces the factory computer completely... AEM, Haltech, and others, which are generally considered standalones are capable of replacing the engine control portion of the factory ecu, however, the factory ecu remains to control the transmission and throttle plate...

but in an IS300, its not going to be a standalone... since there was not an AEM designed for the IS300, the best you are going to get is the AEM controlling fuel and ignition parameters, whilst the OEM ECU is still controlling throttle body and transmission...

In its pure definition, its not a standalone...

very true, however, its better than a piggyback wich only controls fuel...

trust me, I love the Aem EMS, but, most piggybacks anymore control timing as well, such as the fic and emanage ultimate...
