Default Beginner: IS350 Mods + Where to Buy?

can someone give me a link to a good site for Lexus IS350 intake/exhaust etc. parts. Also would a resonator delete be a good idea for an IS350? is it true you lose pull and force in the 1k-4k low rpms?

No, it's not.

No change you make, except maybe headers, will change hp significantly enough to actually be felt or noticed.

Joe Z for intake is my vote- $125 for ~5 hp, max gains for lowest cost compared to anything else.

Exhaust will depend on a few things:
1) Sound- which is totally subjective. Some folks like quiet, some like loud, some like raspy, etc...

2) Legality. All the axle-backs add the same 7 hp and are legal everywhere in the US. All the "full" exhausts are illegal in all 50 states but improve your hp gains from 7 to 10-12.... though they tend to cost more of course.

Personally I didn't buy a lexus to be loud, or illegal, so I spent $400 on a used Tanabe... fits and looks great, can install it yourself in 15 minutes, and gives me the same 7 hp the folks who dropped 3 times as much on a new pricier axle-back get.

If you want louder and illegal and max power you can't do much better than the Joe Z exhaust... looks great, excellent fit and finish, sounds beautiful for a non-quiet exhaust, etc.

For headers, PPE is the only game in town worth discussing, though some folks have ongoing check engine light issues, and of course they're not street legal in any US state. Gains are in the 15-20 hp range though, which beats any intake+exhaust.

Cat-delete (aka test pipe) will help flow and potentially gain ponies in the upper rpms...at least it does on S2000s. Deference shown 4-5hp change from a stock S2000 from a stock one w/ test pipe. Not sure if test pipes are available or can be done on a 2IS, but just sayin...it can happen.

Here is a good website to check out the available mods for a 2IS :

Replacing the cats with straight pipe (besides being illegal in all 50 states) adds ~1 hp on the 2IS for the secondary cats... closer to 2 hp for the primary cats. Modern cats aren't very restrictive.
