Did you know that this piece, is removable...its really just a bolt. Grasp it lightly with some channel locks and turn it just like you would a bolt to loosen it.

Then you'll be able to remove it altogether. With just another 4 bolts (2 on each far side) removed from the top of the cross section above the radiator (where the wire looms are clipped), you'll have ENTIRE access to the radiator area (remove the grill without removing your bumper!!!!).

If you already knew this, disregard and GOOD LUCK!!

what crap! Still though, I guess a little over 5k for a supercharger and engine management is still a deal compared to previous offerings, I guess.

I just wish we truly had a workaround for NA tunes.
Cheapest I see the kit for at a quick glance is ~6k on sale-
http://www.rhdjapan.com/hks-gt-super...1-grs184-64030

then you have to wire it up and install it... but I agree even at 6k for 7psi tuned it's at least a better option than 6k for the LMS kit with 5psi and no tune was.... kinda sucks about having to drop $2400 to get an NA tune though... GM stuff spoiled me for being able to hook up a laptop and tune everything yourself for nearly free.

I'm pretty curious to see the eventual dynos from this but I'd guess at best he's gonna put down #s similar to a stock IS-F... while that's excellent for a 350 it's not, to me, worth 6k when I could spend 10k and get an actual F with full warranty and a better transmission (and some more gains to be had on top of stock).

Now, if the couple folks who are looking into custom pistons for a lower CR manage to get that to work out things get a lot more interesting when combined with a way to tune the motor.

Hey man, in for updates! You know I'm a big fan of a supercharged Lexus!

FYI, I just installed a standalone onto my car after so long on the stock ECU and I'm pretty sure its made a rather substantial difference. No dyno or track runs yet but did do some logging and looked at the time/mph numbers and they look very good.

Good luck!

Also.....why the intercooler? I highly reccomend water/meth injection. You'll make more boost without the intercooler and water/meth will cool the charge way better than it probably ever could.

KC, sup bro? Glad to see the SC is still strong. The IC is better for daily driving yea I could make more power the meth but I still have to pick the kids up everyday too.

Also HKSUSA has one great employee. After a thousand call to all the HKS vendors and HKS USA I decided to try the Ol' random pick a phone ext.
I happened to get the product development mgnt. NICE!
He was able to send the the full instructions in Jap. right that sec. NICE x 2!

I can say that after looking over the DYI info 99.5% of ClubLexus will not try this install.
The main reason is shaving the housing( just the raised lettering) on the water pump so the pulleys clear.
Also you have to perform a wire tuck on the passenger side of the car. The harness that comes across the front of the motor and the injector driver has to be relocated. This can be a big turnoff to most.

My car is my daily driver. I actually think the drivability is better without the intercooler. I tried several setups without the intercooler before discovering water/meth and was always happier with the drivability just concerned with the heat when in boost. Now, with the water/meth, I have the best of both worlds IMO.

Not trying to sell you a water/meth kit or anything, just offering input. Either way will work great and I'm sure your car is going to be (already is anyway) awesome.

Good luck!

KC
