Tracktion control can it be complely turn off?

 

Yup. Assuming it's an 07+ you just hold down the TRAC button on the dash for 5 seconds until two icons light up on the dash, then both TC and VSC are off until you restart the car or hit the button again... if it's an 06 you'll need to do the pedal dance
