tanabe sustec pro coilovers, slammed, no helper springs. removed rear sway bar, and apexi intake... oh and a pair of *****... that first turn i was entering sliding facing down the hill on the left. it was quite the dropoff that really made the first turn awesome. it was designed for ebrake, but i was going in, top of 2nd and just mashing the gas all the way, since we have that dam footbrake, then tapped the brakes to kick the rear out more to make the decreasing radius turn.

looking good!!!

quick question, why would you remove the rear swaybar? was the surface extremely bumpy or did you need the added grip?

rocking 2JZ-GE motor right?

I was thinking of doing a dual caliper setup for my GS, secondary caliper would be dedicated hydro to lock up the rear since the footbrake sucks ***** for anything.

PS: i really recommend grabbing a TRD 1.5way. i have one installed in my car and there is VERY little tank slap, even on stock suspension.

first the rear sway...
every car ive drifted with a rear sway, i hated. with drifting, the goal is too have as much grip as possible while sliding. this is a huge help, plus, it caters to my driving style when i go past full lock(which i try and do a lot when doin solo runs). you wouldnt believe how sideways i got that thing sometimes. like 80 degrees sidewyas, then bam, somehow snaps back and ready to transition into the next turn. you spin out more with the rear sway bar.

yeah, im running the 2jzge

as for an ebrake, i didnt even wanna try. if anything, im thinking i would go hydraulic ebrake or relocate a custom pull line. the hyd's tap into your factory brake lines and the 2pot rear calipers have plenty of grab to lock up with this ebrake setup. adding another caliper really isnt worth the extra work imo.

and if i buy a 1.5way for my lexus before my 240, ive got some issues to sort out.. haha

dont worry guys, im waiting on the out of car video too!!!!!!!!!!!! ive had like 30-40 runs in this car so far and havent seen it slide once!!
