Please kindly take a look at PIC #2 in red circle. If i remove this box would that be ok or no? Because after i installed the Fujita i can't put this box back to align with the screw holes to tight back the screw. The other end of the box hitting the mushroom. So i would like to check with other Fujita Intake users they have the same issue like i do or no? In the other hand i would like to know what is the pros and cons by removing that box.

Thanks all!!

That box just gets rammed air when driving, you can live without it. Mines is still there though.

how come mine doesn't fit

maybe need to redo it and try to see will fit or not. If not i think will need to live without it. So there is nothing negative to live without that box right?

No idea why. I don't believe there's anything negative to it.

i believe it'll fit, but when when i had the fujita SRI i left the underhood air funnel/scoop out.

however, the issue you may run into is that without the bottom portion of the oem airbox holding up the end that goes into the oem airbox, it'll only be held in place by a bolt on the intake end - which means the rest of it is dangling in your engine compartment.

it's just something that i'd rather not worry about. YMMV.

turn your intake a little bit clockwise.. that will lift the mushroom and move it out of the way.

with those open element intakes, you need ALL the air you can get. Leave the scoop!

Unless you're going for mpg in which case you'll remove the scoop and suck in engine air.
