what intake do you have? or more basically, just call the manufacturer and they'll have something. but i don't believe RSA or Injen have a box

Injen has heat shield but it's more toward look than performance.

Weapon R has cold air box for their intake. After seeing it in real person today at the meet, I'd not recommend you to buy it. There is a HUGE hole on the box where the intake pipe enters. It's supposed to be sealed up so no hot air comes it.

When I said it's a huge hole, it's like 2" too big on diameter.

that's a monster over-cut. the guy that you saw must've done something extra to it, cause i realize their stuff isn't SRT quality, but they couldn't have goofed by that much, could they?

like you said RA, you wouldn't recommend it. many others here said they could build it themselves for literally 1/10th of the cost. it supposedly looks pretty cheesy and simple

bravo,

That's Martin's car and he hasn't done anything to it. However, he's planning to fill up the hole with some insulator or something. Not only the CAB, I've seen bad cut on their intake too. Not to mention their poor customer service.

Default INTAKE MODS

DONT REALLY CARE MUCH OF THESE INTAKE PIPES/FILTERS. I BELIEVE YOU GET MORE AIR BY JUST DROPPING AN AFTERMARKET AIR FILTER WITH OR W/O CHANGING YR STOCK RUBBER PIPING. YOU CAN GET THESE DROP-IN FILTERS FM TRD, BLITZ, ETC.,...

JUST MY OPINION..

Lots of opinions... the best information is available from unbiased testing. True, accurate testing doesn't care how much something costs or how it looks ONLY how it works.

The best, most comprehensive testing I have seen is on Petes Diehard Soarer (SC300-400s) page at http://www.users.bigpond.com/pgscott/
go there, read all about air intakes and testing, then decide. If you want my opinion take a look at the mods I have made to my LS400 at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=55111
