Looks to me, that's an used exhaust someone returned. That's sucks.

Uhh it's just a poor weld job, some contamination or poor metals or maybe D. ALL OF THE ABOVE..but I don't think it was used.

It's going to be covered in soot within a day so just leave it. Make sure you don't tighten the bolts too tight or forget the gasket.

This seriously does not look like a new exhaust. It may be poor craftsmanship and build quality, but I doubt it. You should talk to your seller about it. Hope you can get this issue resolved.

it was stapled, and everything. no signs of being re staple either. should i prime it first? im sure Megan Racing has a decent reputation.

to me it looks like a less than perfect weld job, because it sits where the weld was done. heat from outside, heats inside and expands and oxidizes?
