PPE Engineering IS350 header development
I definitely will! I tried to make it out to one of your meets a little while ago but wasn't able to. Once everything is done though I will definitely do what I can to make it out!
Godspeed to you JB! Glad you are fulfilling the job I couldn't do. Let's hope some performance enhancement happens!
I'm going to change this thread title since they already have a prototype and now we're just waiting for updates/news.
EDIT: Nevermind, can't change it... d'oh.

Right now they are using my car to fabricate a set of headers. Once they are done they will put the stock headers back on the car. They will then complete a fully working set, coated and all, for the car. Once this is done we will dyno the car with stock headers, and again after installing the new headers. They also have a stock exhaust which we may install, along with the stock intake again, depending on how they want to dyno. No matter what though, there will be a before headers dyno and an after headers dyno completed. Once this is done I will post the gains and graphs.
Hope that answers your question.
I just got back from PPE and wanted to check out the progress. Everything is looking REALLY good. I asked him about the CEL and emissions issues. They see no CEL issues whatsoever. And since AZ doesn't require emissions for the first 5 years when a car is purchased brand new we are debating putting high-flow cats on it. Since most people will require them though we will probably put them on. Based on everything I see though I have a really good feeling that we will seem some great gains both on the bottom and top end. Hopefully with the intake, headers, and exhaust combined the car will produce around 300 at the wheels. Everyone needs a goal right?!
We also discussed placement of a supercharger and numbers.. but that is for another time
.
LOL.

.Technically, everyone requires cats in the US, even if your state doesn't check for em.
It's actually a violation of federal law to remove any working cat (even if you replace it with an aftermarket one)...but at least offering aftermarket ones will let people sneak by in the states that do visuals, even if it'll still be illegal.

As for the 350 model, there is currently no headers available. I am sure many owners with the 350 are willing to pay for quality headers that will yield power gains.
It is possible that they might develop something for a 250, but there are already competitors like Megan Racing and Jun-TW that already supply headers for the 250.
**UPDATE**
Got the car back today. They have put a set of headers together and they look awesome. The design is great and the calculations they used appear to be spot on. Now that they have the design put together they are going to make a finished set and then we'll do the before and after dyno and see what we come up with. Let's pray the gains are impressive!!
They expect to have the finished prototype set complete by the mid to end of September.
Here is a pic of the passenger side.

It's the mock set-up with a highflow cat attached. There will be a few differences in parts used as this is just mock for the fitting and design.
