Default PPE Engineering IS350 header development

Hey all.

Although there is another thread discussing that PPE Engineering is looking into developing headers, I thought to start a new one because they are looking for a prototype is350 to use for 2-3 weeks starting as early as the first week in August.

I was originally supposed to be the prototype but due to certain circumstances, I no longer can be it, so I feel responsibility to help them find someone.

If anyone in the Phoenix, Arizona area, or anyone willing to travel there, is interested, contact them at sales@ppeengineering.com

Aww... Come one, why did you back out? :P

I'm sure some one could jump over in Cali. They've got a fairly nice scene over there.

Nice! Thanks for jumping on it!

Best of luck and hopefully we'll get something decent in terms of gains.

Nice, hopefully someone can have a prototype done and they can develop headers that will make measurable gains on a 350.

I hope so too! They said they will need the car for about two weeks and I happen to be going to Cancun soon so it may end up working out perfectly.

Even in Japan, there are no aftermarket headers for the 350. So I am not surprised that no one is offering headers for the 350 in the US.

If Japanese tuners like Toda Racing, M-Bit (MAXIM WORKS), JUN AUTO, etc made headers for a 350, you will know for sure that there will be gains throughout the powerband.

For those with 350s, if you want serious power, HKS Japan makes a bolt-on complete supercharger kit. But we are talking close to 10 grand for the complete kit.

My point exactly. They have very little offerings right now, and what they do have is little gain at a large price

I beg to differ but JUN-TW has headers released for our cars, quite expensive but they're there.

As for the Jun-TW products, they are made in Taiwan. I spoke to Carson Toyota/L-tuned parts and they said Jun-TW is affiliated with Jun Auto Japan. However, they have different engineering staff and I would assume the Japanese engineers in Jun Auto Japan is much more knowledgeable and experience with making performance parts.

I would say the Jun-TW performance parts are way overpriced, for they are only made in Taiwan. I believe their dyno showed 10-15hp gain on a 250 from what I recall.

Hopefully PPE can make a set of affordable headers for the 350, with some gain in hp and tq. Again, it depends how much time they are willing to spend on R&D. I am keeping my fingers crossed
