Default My R154 let go

After taking it fairly easy on my car at 18psi / 600 RWHP(never drag raced it) on pump gas with a PTE74mm turbo and 272 cams my R154 gave up. I'm wishing I would have done the Marlin Crawler upgrades BEFORE installing this tranny. Now that it's damaged I have to drop a good $700+ into gears and the main input shaft that were damaged when the thrust washer failed. The problem I'm being told with these transmissionss is the lack of lubrication, my tranny builder thought I ran my transmission out of oil by the way it looked but it was full of Royal purple, apparently the new bearing cover plate is supposed to solve this issue. Marlin Crawler told me they are only aware of 1 R154 failure after being rebuilt with their parts and there were some circumstances behind that one, Drift Motion tells me they have never had one fail with cars making 800HP. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck with rebuild and keep us posted. I was also thinking about doing rebuild using MC stuff. What were you doing exactly when it let go?

Wow, was she doing any pulls before that, while you were tuning?

A wife who will drive your manual GS to help you tune is a keeper. She gets a gold star.
