also, unrelated, does anyone on here have a g35 coupe? im looking to get a 6-speed g35 coup for my daily driver in the next couple years so i can go crazy on my gs! (im getting tired of borrowing a friends car, or even worse, having to borrow my moms expedition!
All they do is superheat the tips. I'm sure they do it in a furnace, though, so that it remains uniform. Take the tips, stick them in about an inch, let them get about red/blue hot, and then take them out and cool them immediately in a liquid bath. Bam - distressed color. You could do it at home (OFF THE CAR!!) with a torch and some care, but why?
I agree with Clear2 -- not a good look. It even says that it's for camouflage on the site - those who want it to look like a crappy stock exhaust that has been cooked by burning up fuel. A nice polished/rolled slant cut will look better IMO.

PS: I agree with you on the slanted wheel thing. I think I'd be kinda upset about having to replace a fairly expensive set of tires that often because they're riding crooked, but again - that's how some people roll.
people express their opinions on forums, as EVEYBODY on CL does. nobody is rideculing you for what you like. im just saying, not my style. that look reminds me of something you find on a honda not a lexus.
FYI, the blue look on a titanium tip is NOT from heating. It is a chemical treatment process. If it is just heated, the color will fade and discolor very rapidly. Some pictures below of them on my car just to show you guys what it looks like on a 2GS.

If you dig it, it's your thing.
