has anyone done this swap? how much of a pain would it be as far as electrical stuff, and will it even fit?
Thanks

It would fit but you would need the ecu to control it. Its one of the benefits of going with a true turbo swap.

Supra TT auto trans is good until about 450HP (rather BPU++ upgrades) before it will start slipping and needing to be built.

Get a built auto the first time, you'll save money.

yea...i know...but the main reason i started this thread is b/c you can get a built supra trans from supra store (forgot who makes it boost logic maybe?) for 2200...and personally it sounds like a deal for a built trans.

also...could you control the new trans with a AEM EMS? with the stock ecu? or would you need the supra ecu?

Did you check to see how much a built NA trans would be? I recall something like 1500 to get it built....something like that. Not sure though. I think Jeff Tsai knows though.

Also...is this built as in a new sprag gear/valve body? Or do they cryo treat the gears and stuff to make it bullet proof (lol)

aem ems only controls the engine. if you want to run the 4spd you will need an aristo v300 ecu. the sc300 98+ ecu might work, but don't quote me on it. obviously with an aristo ecu you will need a standalone to control the ge engine.

you should not bother with swapping in a 4spd auto unless you're also swapping in a vvti gte into your car.

Ya know...alot of ppl say stuff like this...but what exactly is the reason? seriously...i know the gte is a stronger motor..but the ge can accomplish basically the same if modded correctly.

Why would the getrag be awful to drive on the street?
