Default TOM's air filter- best way to clean?

Since I can't read Japanese, do I clean this like a K&N drop in filter? Will it benefit from a very light coating of K&N oil on the grills side? Or is it just soap and water?

Thanks

I asked Steve from Carson Toyota about this, they say soap and water and let it have plenty of time to dry out before putting it back in your car. I'm looking to get an air filter, hows the Tom's working for you? I'm debating between this and TRD Japan, but they recently raised the price of the Tom's from $98 to like $137
