Default Axle Back Exhaust... removing one...

Is there anything to it? I can I just unbolt it? I'm asking because i purchased a HKS HI-Power exhaust from a member on here and I never received it because the seller said he could not find a place to have it removed for cheap... I'm thinking about just going down to Jersey one day and removing it for him as long as its a fairly straight forward job. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Remove the bolts and the rubber hanger. It's a straight forward job.

make sure that when you put it on your car you get new gaskets.

hit the bolts with some wd40 or pb blaster and let it sit for like 15 minutes before going to town on em.

if WD-40 and PB blaster don't work, take a torch to it. That works every time.

Keep in mind that if you do have to put a torch to it the muffler might have been on the vehicle for a while.

ITS ONLY 4 BOLTS. TAKE A COUPLE GOOD WRENCHES AND SOME PB BLASTER AND YOUR GREEN HULK HANDS( GOT MINE AT WALMART) AND BREAK OPEN A CAN ON THOSE ***** *** BOLTS. WOULD ALSO RECOMMENDED SOME NEW GASKETS. I HAVE THE SAME EXHAUST WITH A CUSTOM X-PIPE AND SOME HEADERS (GS400) AND PEOPLE TELL ME THERE IS NO WAY THAT IS A LEXUS (TOYOTA) ENGINE UNDER THE HOOD!

awesome all caps post.

if the car has miles on it, one or more bolts will probably be frozen beyond the point of pb blaster or wd40 being helpful. these will need to be torched out.

aside from that, air tools are always helpful; it will be a pain in the *** to remove with hand tools for certain.

OMG....seller should pay you for removing!!! WTF?!?!?!

Its sooooo easy....you really don't even need to jack up the rear (if you are normal size )....just a ratchet set with a flex/wobble joint and some good ole arm strength.

its shouldnt be hard to remove it. its just 2 bolts on each side. some wrenches and ratchet and jacks will be needed pb. the exhaust is just located near the rear axles.
