Default *Help! I need instructions for Gs400 SRT Intake*

I am purchasing an SRT Intake from a fellow CL member. It comes with everything but the installation instructions. Can anyone direct me to a proper link or got a copy of a manual?

btw, I looked at the DIY section and Carbongs did a great write up on it. However, he's got an 01 GS300. I need an install manual for 98'-00' GS400.

Thanks in advance...

I just put mine on yesterday, it was allot more easy than I thought, even though I don't like to solder. I do have one question though Is it meant to only use that filter because I got mine from another cl member and mine came with two KnN filters,(one small cone-new, and one large cone) and also in the box was an AFE filter but its black not orange like the one pictured above. Right now I have the large cone in there, but I'm going to clean the two that are not new. So which one is best to use?

AFE is best to use. I bought the K&N Air filter cleaning and lubricating kit. Keep your air filters lubricated!

Question

Hey Carbongs,

I got the SRT installed this weekend. It seems like the car is getting stronger as I drive it more. Also, is there anything else I need to do? Reset computer or anything?

The guy I bout my SRT from say's :

Glad you got it hooked up. The computer slowly recalibrates after 200 miles or so. You may need to dump the memory if you want the power back. Some people were running relays to kill power to the computer while the car is off. It onl needs to be off for 30 minutes to reset it.

What exactly did he mean?

you should disconnect the battery terminals and let it sit for oh 5 minutes or so. then reconnect the terminals and start up the car, let it warm up and go have fun.

Although; I don't think this will benefit you, but if you want to give it a shot, here the link.

Hey Fonz / Carbongs,

Thanks for the info.

I was'nt sure I had to reset the ecu again. I figured I had the battery unplugged during the ECM wiring, I thought that was reset at that moment.

I'll just unplug it again...
