Some people like them. Others don't. I've seen a few engines blown up running eManage because it failed to load the ignition timing maps consistently and I know tuners who will not run them no matter what.

It has advantages and disadvantages.

I like the Greddy E-manage Ultimate for what it does for the money. It has potential. Greddy's engineers simply don't stay in the game with this stuff. It could function like the HKS F-con series but the software and how it performs the fuel and ignition control is very limited. Its like someone needs to make a USDM software for it.

You have to realize with the complicated electronics in these IS models (even the 1st gen) it becomes very difficult if not impossible to make a standalone work flawlessly with the remaining electronics in the vehicle.

In a Toyota/Lexus car from the 90's these things weren't nowhere near complicated. But then again they also didn't have VSC or VDIM either. TCS is available on most standalones today or could be implemented to work in tandem with them with a Racelogic system. But the brake control stability system is something still out of the reach of most aftermarket companies today.

Yes, I have used these on my TC and FJ. I also know there is no app for this car.

So basically, with the IS350 you wold nedd to get something made for a lot of cars, like an Apexi, or whatever. and tune it..
what ive heard, is that the IS350's ECU after like 1000 miles learns to go back to its factory settings and so the piggyback would be pointless. unless every like 1000 miles you take it iff and reset the ECU....not really worth it for 10 hp
