^^Right, but there are technologies you would have to integrate to the 2JZ that don't exist on a 2JZ vehicle. The security system and "keyless" starting are just two of the small things that would be extremely challenging to integrate. So we'd all like to know how this was done, or if this car is like the other (former) 2JZ 2IS swap with a complete standalone ECM, aftermarket gauges, and no provisions for the myriad amenities depending on the original ECM to work.
i started this project 7 months ago i finally finished with the car everything on the car works like if the 2jz came from factory the only thing no a.c.....but w.e anyways about the wiring the car still turns on through the push start button i had some of the best eletronic and wiring mechanics work on the car i had to do alot of custom modification to get averything done right i dint want to drill no wholes and do a sloppy job other then that the car has a difrent diferential and a whole new custom racing suspension and i just wanted to do something difrent and take it to the next level i will be posting a video by the end of this week.
i did evrything the right way i took my time to get things done right i would say i spend about 50,000 in everything and i still have to do some exterior work like put the new wheels on and install the full wald bpdy kit but thanks man i appriciate the compliment thursady ama do a basic map tune to get it running to brake in the motor when is the next lexus meet....?
Not sure if you ever saw this car below, but this is a fully sponsored Falken Drifter (race) IS350.
At the time these pics were taken it was a 2JZ swap, but it now has a V8 .....
I don't think its hating or jealousy I think its a scary prospect. On one side we all want more power. On the other side the risk of screwing up our precious IS and being stuck with the bill to fix it is quite frightening. I do respect the guy for doing it. It's people like that who push the envelope and eventually bring it to the masses.
