Exhaust is one mod that you really don't want to cut corners on. People can tell a cheap exhaust a mile away. Especially with the 2GS having dual exhaust, the exhaust you choose becomes doubly pronounced in terms of looks, performance, and sound.
There are alot of great exhaust systems out there. As for myself, I would only put a full catback on my car. The 2JZ really purrs nicely with a quality, refined exhaust, and the cans really fill out the large rear end of our cars.
If you can't afford an expensive exhaust just wait for a used one on the classifieds. I would go JP, Touring Medallion, Carson Tuned, or RMM.
I've had on my ride the Blitz, OEM, Borla, Tanabe, and Rod Millen Motorsports in the past two years and without a double the RMM is the quietest with the best tone. All the others were either too aggressive t cruising speed, too loud WOT, or created too much backflow.
The RMM is the best of all worlds...
I LOVE THIS EXHAUST
my tanabe super hyper medallion is a nice clean sound i love it because its deep and throaty when you get on it but not too loud at idle.. full catback is the way to go
Wow this is my old thread. I already installed some Magnaflow's and did custome piping with no resonators. Its quiet at idle/highway yet deep/throaty when you get on it. I get thumbs up everywhere.
