Default Any Intake matteR?

I was wondering if the brands of the Intake do matter? bczu i do not care about brand so as long as it works as well as others i was wondering if it is ok to my car and if it does any harm for using a cheaper product? I found on ebay an Intake for like 50 bux. Its these ones. Is it ok? or should i not buy it??

If you want to pay $50 to make the car louder and possibly lose power due to sucking hot air instead of cold, that's a great bargain.

If you want to actually improve the performance of the car then a Joe Z will add as much or more than any of the huge-honking-open-filter intakes without sucking in hot air... but it still won't be much. The Joe Z will provide smoother airflow, the but the -stock- intake already provides all the air your engine can use.

In my opinion, no, do not buy one of those cheap eBay intakes. I have purchased them and put them on Chevy trucks and Jeeps, and a few Hondas and Toyota cars, but I would never disgrace a Lexus with one of those intakes. I would go with the Fujita intake, if you can afford a Lexus you can afford a little nicer intake. It can be had on eBay for $175 shipped, and is of alot better quality than those cheap intakes. Fitment will be spot on. And as said before, don't look for huge gains even out of the Fujita, just look for a louder intake sound at WOT.

I would go for the Fsport intake. All the gains of JoeZ with similar sound to the ISF intake.

X3 on F-Sport intake. Retains cool air and gives you the sound, if you can afford it. Next option would be Joe Z or Fujita.

Go with AFE I highly recomend it. Pipe is always cool to the touch no matter how long I have been running the car. The Filter is huge and it has a heat shield, that takes advantage of the front snorkel

+1... also, I'm wondering... if JoeZ (actual dyno-5HP gain) is equal to IS-F (dyno #s?) at better than 1/3 the cost.... which do I choose.... hmmm.... let's see.... sound-wise, hmmm....
