The PI /TC in combination with the 3:76 rear end is the best mod for the GS4.It totally wakes up the car. I actually think the shifting is actually a lot more smoother with the T/C, not to mention it keeps you in a nice power band when cruising. In regards to mpg, yes you will consume more fuel but the reality is if you want to play "you are going to pay". If you are not looking to increase your fuel consumption stay with your stock set up.

In regards to a break in period, I do not know of such. When I had the combo installed on my 400 I was on it right away

I too feel this is the best n/a mod for the GS4XX! I bought both of these units brand new. I wasn't sure about the break-in period either so I made sure not to really get on it for the fist 1000 mi. (1 month). After that, I let it loose!!! It's an awesome mod, but you will NOT like how much your shop will charge you for the install for both of these items at the same time. You will also need a tranny flush/filter (I suggest Amsoil ATF) and diff fluid (I suggest Royal Purple) also a tranny cooler which I'm sure you read about already. GL!

When you're launching, do you floor it? Having LSD alone doesn't eliminate wheel spin. In the end, what determines how much traction you get are your tires. Obviously going with an OEM setup isn't going to yield as much traction (even with the PI TC alone). Now that you have both higher stall AND higher torque multiplication, you need some fat meaty tires

Thanks heres what Ive got.I have the PI/TC and 3;73 gears with the TRD lsd.
My tires are new Nitto555 275/35/18's.Trac is terrible if i floor it from a stop shes all over.If I try to stage it, it gets much worse.I thought maybe adding the trd lsd would help some but since all mods were done at the same time I couldnt tell.My times at the track are worse than without the mods just because of traction issues. My 60ft times were esp.pathetic.Any thoughts?

LSD only helps when one wheel is slipping more than the other (within reason). But when you have a case of two tires slipping at the same time, the only solution is to easy off the throttle or get even grippier tires. I'm not a fan of Nitto tires myself, but try reducing throttle. Instead of just flooring it, give it maybe 75% throttle and then once you're hooked, just gun it. The torque converter stall speed is likely near the engine's peak torque. Flooring it will only make it worse unless you have control.

also release some tire pressure in the rear. If you are running high tire pressure that is no good for traction. Also, what is the stall on your PI TC?

Im eventually gonna get drags for the track.I have a 125 wet zex kit but havent put it on due to trac. Gsteg what do you think on tires?I like the Nittos I think theyre a good bang for the buck tire.I also have thought pilots but I wasnt sure if the trac would be better and they are pretty pricey to be smokin off.I have the 2800 stall convertor. How do you guys feel about staging it?Holdin the gas and brake at 2800 rpm then easin into it off the line?
